My Winter Face Makeup Go-Tos!

Sorry it's been so long since I've made a new post! D: I literally forgot to publish my last post (oops), so here I am again... and I'll remember to publish this one! lol

Ok so anyway, winter is coming.... quickly. And coldly. lol. So it's best to be prepared with the skin-drying properties these frosty months give us. So here is My List of favorite go-to makeup products for the winter time!

So, first off, my skin get INSANELY dry every single winter. You can visibly see it in my hands as a matter of fact, because they crack! Pretty creepy! Luckily, my face skin does not (shew!), but it does get dry and flaky. Mostly around my nose, mouth, and forehead. To help combat this, I make sure to put a nice amount of face moisturizer on before my foundation or primer. It's truly my "base" because it is the layer closest to my skin, even under my primer.

This stuff really rocks! It's like a moisturizer and primer mixed into one! It's also creamy and lasts like all day. It also sits well under my makeup which is pretty important to me. Also it's Clinique which is a great brand.

Next up is Primer. I have to pause here though because, after discovering this product, I seriously think I've found my favorite primer of all time (and that's saying something...).

This flippin' primer... oh my GOSH... it's AMAZING!!!!! I sometimes have to use a color corrector for my skins redness, but not at all with this stuff! I don't know how, but it somehow smooths out my complexion and color to match all-over better. It also is thicker and creamier so it cover my lines and pores up like a PRO! I seriously am in love with this primer. Not even kidding.

Ok. SHEW! That was a lot of excitement for me. lolol. Now on to Foundation!!

For the winter time, I like to mix foundation some just to help with my dryness, and to make sure my color and complexion look good. My all time favorite foundation EVER is IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream. You can find it using longer names and shorter ones, but I've linked the one on Amazon below.


I have been using this foundation for over a year now and have never been disappointed. It has amazing full coverage but also feels light enough on your skin to not feel sticky or mask-like! One of my fave things is the fact that it has 50 SPF! I don't like my face getting much sun, so this bad boy is PERFECT.

The IT foundation, I use everyday. However, depending on my dryness level and tone, I'll mix it with another foundation that I love!

I'll add this one to help put a little extra moisture into my foundation. I also use it to even up my tone to match my skin more properly depending on how I've done my contour and highlight. This one has a more light-medium coverage, but also feels super nice on my skin.
